Crowngate Funding Group, a small-business funding service in Grand Island, NE, runs every request through four stages: the purpose, the matching option, a funding partner's review and your decision. This page lists documents partners may ask for, what affects the timeline, and what partners look at when they review a business.
Where Crowngate sits in the deal
Crowngate Funding Group is a broker, not a lender. We do not approve requests, set rates or fund anything. Our part is to understand the purpose, explain the options, and pass the request to funding partners that offer the right product. The partner reviews the business, makes the credit decision and writes any offer.
Crowngate Funding Group connects you with lending partners; partners make credit decisions and set rates and terms.
Steps to apply for a business loan through Crowngate
- Describe the purpose. Call (308) 310-7644 or send the online request. We ask what the money pays for, roughly how much, and how customers pay you.
- Match an option. We compare the repayment of each option with your deposit pattern and tell you which ones are worth a partner's time.
- Partner review. With your go-ahead, a partner offering that product reviews the request and may ask for documents.
- Your decision. Any offer comes from the partner, in writing. You compare total cost and schedule, then accept or decline.
Your file stays with Crowngate until you agree.
Documents needed for a business loan
| Document | Why partners ask | When it may be requested |
|---|---|---|
| Business bank statements | Shows money in, balances and current payments | Any request |
| Photo ID of the owners | Identity check | At review |
| Returns or year-end statements for the business | Profit and longer history | Larger amounts, term loans |
| Equipment quote or purchase agreement | Shows exactly what the money buys | Equipment and acquisition requests |
| Accounts receivable list | Shows what customers owe and when | Working capital, lines of credit |
| Entity and state records | Shows the business is in good standing | Varies by partner |
How many months of bank statements for a business loan do partners want?
Partners may ask for three to six months, and some ask for twelve. Statements should be the business account, complete, and include every page. If your business banks across two accounts, send both.
How long does it take to get a business loan, start to offer?
No timeline is promised here, because the partner controls the review. A request can slow down when statements are missing, the purpose is unclear, a large deposit is unexplained or a lien was not mentioned. Having the documents in the table above ready helps. A term loan or an acquisition has more to review than working capital, so a partner's review may take longer.
What do lenders look for when applying for a business loan from Nebraska?
- Cash flow. Regular deposits large enough to carry the new payment.
- Time in business. A longer record gives the partner more to judge.
- Existing obligations. Other loans, advances and their payments.
- Credit. Business credit and, for some products, the owner's personal credit.
- Purpose. Whether the money pays for something that helps repay it.
The Nebraska-specific checklist is on how to get a business loan in Nebraska.
